White sugar

Low FODMAP (Safe)4 tsp (17g)

Is white sugar low FODMAP?

White sugar is low FODMAP at typical servings (4 tsp (17g)).

Plain table sugar is sucrose: equal parts glucose and fructose, so the glucose balances the fructose and it stays low FODMAP at normal amounts. Caster, granulated, and powdered sugar are the same. Large baking quantities are still a lot of sugar.
