Is fried chicken low FODMAP?
Fried chicken is high FODMAP and best avoided during the elimination phase.
The wheat-flour batter and the garlic and onion powder in the seasoning coat every piece, and a buttermilk soak adds lactose. A safer build dredges in rice or corn flour, seasons with paprika and garlic-infused oil, and soaks in lactose-free milk.
