SIBO daily guide

Aioli

High FODMAP (Avoid)1 tbsp (15g)

Is aioli low FODMAP?

Aioli is high FODMAP and best avoided during the elimination phase.

Aioli is garlic blended straight into the mayo, so even a spoonful carries fructans. A homemade version using garlic-infused oil instead of raw garlic keeps a 1 tbsp serve safe, and plain mayonnaise is fine to 2 tbsp.

FODMAP subgroups to watch

Aioli contains fructans that can drive SIBO symptoms.

SIBO note

Watch this one for ISO (hydrogen sulfide overproduction). Aioli contains sulfur compounds, and ISO patterns can be more sensitive to these, especially in larger servings.
