Flaxseed oil

Low FODMAP (Safe)1 tbsp (14g)

Is flaxseed oil low FODMAP?

Flaxseed oil is low FODMAP at typical servings (1 tbsp (14g)).

Pressed from flax seeds and taken by the spoon or stirred into food. FODMAPs are carbohydrates and a pure oil carries none, so unlike the seeds themselves (which carry GOS and a lot of fibre) the oil sits easy at any normal amount. Keep it refrigerated and off the heat; it is a finishing oil, not a cooking one.
