Is beef jerky low FODMAP?
Beef jerky is high FODMAP and best avoided during the elimination phase.
Most jerky is marinated in garlic powder, onion powder, and soy or Worcestershire sauce, with teriyaki and glazed kinds adding corn syrup or sorbitol on top. The beef itself is FODMAP-free, so a verified garlic-free and onion-free jerky at about 30g is the low option.
